Our Ingredients

We believe you should know what’s going on your skin — without needing a chemistry degree to figure it out.

The Soak Shack products are handmade in small batches using ingredients chosen for a reason. From rich butters and moisturizing oils to mineral salts, essential oils, and fragrance, every ingredient has a job to do.

Different products have different formulas, so you’ll always find the full ingredient list on the product label. But here’s a little peek at some of the ingredients you’ll see around The Shack.

Butters, Waxes & Oils

These are the good stuff behind some of our most moisturizing products.

Shea Butter & Kokum Butter – Rich plant butters that help condition and soften dry skin. You’ll find these doing a lot of the heavy lifting in our Skin Butter Sticks.

Beeswax – Gives our Skin Butter Sticks their solid, mess-free texture while creating a protective layer that helps lock in moisture.

Sweet Almond & Avocado Oil – Lightweight, skin-conditioning oils that help our products glide on smoothly and leave skin feeling soft.

Vitamin E – Added to our Skin Butter Sticks as an antioxidant and skin-conditioning ingredient.

Salts & Minerals

Because sometimes you just need to soak.

Epsom Salt – The main ingredient in our Bath Soaks and the reason they feel like a little spa moment at home.

Dead Sea Salt & Pink Himalayan Salt – Mineral salts used in select soak formulas to add a little something extra to your bath.

Kaolin Clay – A gentle clay you'll find in select products, including our Foaming Sugar Scrubs and Shower Steamers.

Scrub & Texture Ingredients

Sugar – Simple, effective exfoliation. It helps buff away dry, flaky skin while you scrub.

Arrowroot Powder – Helps improve the feel and texture of select formulas.

Foaming Bath Butter – The creamy base behind our Foaming Sugar Scrubs, giving you that fluffy, scoopable texture and a little lather while you scrub.

Essential Oils & Fragrance

This is where things get fun.

We use both essential oils and skin-safe fragrance oils, depending on the product. From Lavender Vanilla and Cashmere to Raspberry Jam and Golden Pumpkin & Cardamom, scent is a pretty big deal around here.

We follow recommended usage rates for each product, because more fragrance doesn't always mean better.

A Little Color

We use cosmetic-grade mica in select products to give them their fun colors. Because a lavender shower steamer should obviously be a little lavender, right?

One More Thing...

Because our products are handmade, you may notice small differences in color, texture, or appearance from one batch to the next. That's normal — and honestly, part of the fun of buying handmade.

If you have allergies or sensitivities, please read the ingredient list on the individual product before using it. Our Skin Butter Sticks contain nut-derived ingredients, and we always recommend patch testing a new product before regular use.
