Hi, I’m Sarah!

I’m the maker, mixer, label cutter, order packer, market hauler, and pretty much everything in-between here at The Soak Shack.

I started this little business because I’ve always loved creating things, and I wanted to make products that turn the everyday stuff into something you actually look forward to. Life gets busy — and sometimes a good-smelling shower, ridiculously soft skin, or five quiet minutes to yourself is about as close to “self-care” as you’re going to get. And honestly? Sometimes that’s enough.

Everything at The Soak Shack is handmade in small batches right here in Michigan. From Skin Butter Sticks and Foaming Sugar Scrubs to Bath Soaks, Shower Steamers and everything else I dream up, I choose ingredients, scents, and formulas that I genuinely enjoy using myself.

How The Shack Started

What started as me making my own bath and body products somehow turned into an actual business — and one that I really love.

There’s been a whole lot of experimenting, changing recipes, cutting labels, late-night batches, packing for markets, and asking my family to smell “just one more thing.” 😂 But seeing someone come back for their favorite scent, hearing that a Skin Butter Stick lives permanently in someone's purse, or watching someone pick out a product for a gift still makes me ridiculously happy.

And yes, Skin Butter Sticks have definitely become a thing around here.

When you order from The Soak Shack, there isn't a warehouse somewhere packing your box. It's me.

I make the products, pour the batches, cut the labels, take the pictures, pack the orders, run the website, set up at the markets... all of it.
